Construction of our ‘Faraday Box’ - an electrically neutral enclosure to contain our electronics experimentation.
Work is ongoing..
Remaining, is to place corner bracket struts, wrap the exterior in cling-wrap to add structure. Cover the entire interior surface in copper foil, and then it remains to electrically ground the box. This involves running an Earth-rated wire to a ground-bus bar, which is connected to the workshops mains earth point. We plan to contract a local UK registered electrician to fit our workshop common node bus-bar.
The acrylic stock, for the walls was found to be too thin; it broke upon attempting to drill holes.
Shown below is the upgraded material HDPE sheet, of which we made again 4 side panels.
The Canberra inside the unfinished enclosure. When finished it would be situated exterior to the Faraday box.
HillAura’s upgraded PSU, an Canberra TC 3002, 3kv max. HVDC model. It is an USA supply, so we acquired an commercial grade stepdown transformer.
Taking possession of our 1st High Voltage Power Supply. It’s antique but solid British Engineering.
⚡ The Griffin Growled
The Griffin growled beneath the bench, Its dial turned with quiet clench. One thousand volts, then two, then more — A whisper from the mythic core.
The needle danced, the red eye lit, A signal born where legends sit. No arc, no flame, no wild alarm — Just voltage held in tempered charm.
🔧 The Rite of First Current
This was no storm, no reckless spark, But measured breath in workshop dark. A pact was made, a test begun, Between the builder and the sun.
For every coil and Faraday wall, This PSU shall heed the call. Its heart now logged, its name now known — The Griffin stands, and voltage flows.
The new digital oscilloscope, for the lab.

As our plans progress, we shall use this page for updates both written and visual.
We have many novel tech. ideas, and as we further their prototype developments, journal entries will be posted.
Thank you for keeping a watch on this page…
